Scale

White Room with shadows in scale

Denver Therapy Online offer a sliding scale fee for those who cannot afford the full fee. The sliding scale is designed to help those who do not have out of network coverage or have high insurance deductibles. The scale is based on availability and financial need.
In order to be eligible for the sliding scale, you must apply and provide income information and an explanation of why you cannot pay the full fee. Although in most cases sliding scale is offered on an honor system, we may occasionally ask for you to verify your income (with a paystub or financial statement).

Are you interested in our Pay What You Can program, which includes low cost short term therapy for individuals from marginalized communities who have decreased access to mental health care and experience financial hardship. If you believe that you qualify for this program, please apply using the form of this page.

FAQs

  • I don't have time for therapy.
We invite you to consider how much time and energy you’re already dedicating to imagining the worst-case scenario, feeling defeated, or criticizing yourself. The time you spend in counseling is an investment in productivity, creativity, and your overall wellbeing. And, if you are frequently using substances or compulsive behaviors as a means of escape from the world, counseling can help you reclaim the hours you may be losing to drinking, gambling, shopping, etc. By taking care of yourself, you can make better use of your time over the long term.
  • I'm just stressed. I don't need anxiety counseling.
Feeling stressed is a normal part of life, but when stress becomes overwhelming and starts affecting your daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. Anxiety counseling can provide you with strategies to manage stress more effectively, helping you to feel calmer and more in control.
  • Most people feel purposeless and worn-down. I don't need depression counseling.
It's true that many people experience feelings of purposelessness and fatigue. However, depression counseling can help you gain a deeper understanding of these feelings, develop self-compassion, and find new ways to bring hope and happiness into your life. You don't have to navigate these challenges alone; support is available to help you lead a more fulfilling life.
